St_Johns_Seal-2The History Committee of St. John’s Church is a study group which meets periodically to research and discuss the history of the parish and the community of Cold Spring Harbor. The Committee spearheaded the effort to restore the “Founders” graveyard above the church.

Hospitality

The Hospitality Team organizes refreshments for Coffee Hour each Sunday following the 10:00 a.m. service, Lemonade on the Lawn during the summer, special events, receptions and celebrations. We keep the kitchen stocked and organized for church fellowship events. Please volunteer to host a Coffee Hour. You will find it an easy and fun way to offer hospitality to parishioners and our guests. Contacts: Patricia Behr, Patty Mahder

House

New Member Ministries

The New Member Ministries group sponsors special events and programs for integrating new members into the life of the parish. Contact: M.L. Citrino

Nominating for Vestry

The Committee welcomes suggestions for candidates from members of the parish. The basic requirements to be considered for a three-year term on the Vestry include: having been baptized, regular attendance at Sunday services and active financial support of St. John’s. In addition, a warden must be confirmed in the Episcopal Church. Please verify your candidate’s interest before contacting a member of the Nominating Committee. If you have any questions, please contact Andy Mahder or one of the members of the nominating committee, either of the Wardens, or the rector.

Office Volunteers

Office Volunteers help with a variety of tasks, including reception, phones, computers, printing, mailings, and office coverage in the Parish Administrator’s absence. Contact: Sue Waiter
