October is Stewardship Month
OCTOBER IS STEWARDSHIP MONTH
This month is Stewardship Month at St. John's Church: the month when we invite parishioners to generously support our parish for the year to come. It is the one time each year that we ask parishioners to prayerfully consider supporting St. John's mission and ministry for the coming year.
St. John's offers so much to our community. We are a beacon of hope in difficult times. A dependable place of comfort and transcendence where all those seeking a deeper relationship with the God who created them, redeemed them through Jesus Christ, and sustains them through the power of the Holy Spirit, can find it.
This year we complete our meditation garden - a signature part of our vocation to deepen our knowledge of God through prayer in creation and we expand our Concerts by the Pond series with an ambitious and exciting tenth season. We do this while continuing to service our community through our outreach efforts, partnering with our Haitian church and school, forming children, youth, and adults into loving disciples of a loving God, offering sublime and beautiful worship, and supporting our parish family in times of crisis and joy.
In the next few days, you will receive in the mail a mid-year report and an invitation to support the church by pledging. You should also expect a call from one of our stewardship volunteers inviting you to join them in pledging to support the church.
We hope you will welcome both as you consider how you can support our shared work together in the year that is to come.
Our lives and this church are conduits for God's grace and our church is a community of grace in action. We hope you will support it.
