Final Pageant Rehearsal | St. John's Episcopal Church

After the 10am Service.

We are so excited about the approach of the Christmas Pageant! As always, the pageant is at our 4pm service on Christmas Eve - this year it’s a Sunday, which moves the rehearsals up a little.

Our last pageant rehearsal will be immediately following the 10am service. We appreciate everyone's help in getting kids from coffee hour into the sanctuary in a timely manner.

Our named roles, are cast, but it's not to join in! Based on the numbers that we have this year our animals will be everyone up through Grade 2. Grades 3 and up will be shepherds and angels unless you hear otherwise from Heather. As a reminder, these are not necessarily gendered roles, so girl shepherds and boy angels are very welcome! News

St. John's Episcopal Church was the first religious institution to be established in Cold Spring Harbor. The first Episcopalian services were held in the little 18th century school house just above the site of the present church. The very first Vestry minutes, written in fine script on September 4, 1831, lists the founders who pledged $2,000 to build a new church.

Like our lives, our church community is a gift from God we neither earn nor deserve, and yet, it is ours. We are responsible for caring for it, for nourishing it, and for participating in the ever outpouring gift of God's grace which we share through our actions together. We are stewards of these gifts for as long as we live, and we steward the gift of this church so that future generations will have the opportunity to receive God’s grace and put it into action.

Our whole life and ministry is “Grace in Action.”
