2019 Vestry & Senior Warden Nominations Deadline
Ted Bahr has been appointed to chair the Nominating Committee for the 2019 Vestry elections, which includes nominating one additional Vestry member and the next Senior Warden of St. John's. The Nominating Committee members are: current Vestry members Kirsten Heinemann and Barry Grace; and Nelson Demarest and Thomas Carroll.
The Committee welcomes suggestions for candidates from members of the parish. The requirements to be considered for a three-year term on the Vestry include: those persons of full age (age 18) or more, belonging to the parish, who have been baptized and are regular attendants at its worship and contributors to its support for at least twelve (12) months prior to such election. Any member who meets the qualifications for election to the Vestry and has been confirmed or received in The Episcopal Church, is eligible for election as a Warden.
It is not necessary for the proposer to verify a candidate's interest in serving on the Vestry, or that they meet the above qualifications - it is the work of the Nominating Committee to take care of that. The Senior Warden position is a renewable two-year term. For more information on the Senior Warden Nomination Invitation, see the attached letter from Gideon. Please submit suggestions for candidates for Vestry and Warden to the Nominating Committee no later than Saturday, January 26.
The Committee will present a slate of candidates to be voted on by the members of St. John's at our Annual Meeting on Sunday, May 5, 2019.
