Ways to Give
Pledges & Annual Support
Annual pledges and ongoing contributions are the foundation of parish life at St. John’s. You may give weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annually, and you may adjust your pledge as your circumstances change.
Two-, three-, or five-year commitments help St. John’s plan confidently for the future. Write to giving@stjcsh.org for a pledge form.
Designated & Memorial Gifts
You may direct your gift to the music program, Concerts by the Pond, the Floral Fund, St. Matthias Fellowship, Youth Ministry, Outreach Ministry, the Rector’s Discretionary Fund, buildings and grounds, the cemetery, or the endowment. Please write to us with any questions.
Give in memory or in honour of someone dear to you. We will notify the person or the family you designate, without disclosing the amount.
Your employer may match your charitable gift. Your human resources office can tell you whether your gift qualifies.
Tax-Wise Giving
Gifts of appreciated stock or other securities may carry significant tax benefits. Write to giving@stjcsh.org for transfer instructions.
If you are 70½ or older, you may make a tax-advantaged gift directly from your IRA. Write to giving@stjcsh.org for details.
You may recommend a grant to St. John’s through your donor-advised fund. Write to giving@stjcsh.org for the details your fund will ask for.
St. John’s cannot give tax advice. Please speak with your own adviser about how any of these gifts would apply to your situation.
Legacy & Named Gifts
A significant gift can create a lasting legacy at St. John’s. Naming opportunities are available for endowed gifts supporting music, outreach, the cemetery, and other priorities. Write to giving@stjcsh.org to discuss opportunities and recognition.
Remember St. John’s in your will, retirement account, life-insurance policy, charitable trust, or other estate plan, and help sustain the parish for generations to come. Gifts of real estate may also be considered, case by case. Write to giving@stjcsh.org to learn more.
