Haiti Fete 2024
Nou Se Fanmi – We Are Family
5pm, Sunday, March 3, 2024
Join us for an evening beginning with a brief service of spirited music with a message from our partner priest Père Michaud and news from our partner school of St. Matthias. The worship service will be followed by a family-style dinner of authentic Haitian cuisine in Bleecker Hall.
This year we are particularly motivated to help our partners in Haiti as the ongoing political crisis and gang violence in the city centers have made living conditions in the country villages even more difficult. St. Matthias School functions as the center of community life and a safe haven where children of Deslandes may still find essential elements for living: a meal (sometimes the only one of the day), water, education and fellowship.
The St. John’s/St. Matthias Fellowship is a bright spot for the families of St Matthias, one that makes a tangible difference in their daily lives. As we hear regularly from Père Michaud, they are incredibly grateful for our continued friendship and support. We pray for the wellbeing of the children of Deslandes during these difficult times and hope that you can be generous in your support as the financial needs of the school are great.
We look forward to seeing you on March 3rd !
