A New Priest for the Diocese of Long Island - Our Parish Administrator!
The Rt. Rev. Lawrence C. Provenzano will receive Andrew Michael Garnett to the Sacred Order of Priests on Saturday, April 23 at 11 am at the Cathedral of the Incarnation, Garden City.

A native of East Norwich, Andrew Michael Garnett began discerning a call to ordained ministry in high school. He began his formation at the undergraduate Cathedral Seminary Residence, in Douglaston, Queens. He continued his education at Theological College at the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC, and was selected to attend the Pontifical North American College in Rome. He was ordained a deacon in the Roman Catholic Church in 2014 and priest in 2015. He holds a graduate degree in philosophy from the Catholic University of America and in theology from the Gregorian University in Rome.
Andrew served for two years at Our Lady of Lourdes in West Islip before discerning a call to marriage, while never doubting his ongoing call to the priesthood. He began discerning a call to the Episcopal Church at Christ Church in Oyster Bay and received formation in the Anglican tradition at the Mercer School of Theology.
Andrew has worked as an adjunct professor in philosophy and theology at several colleges in the area. He currently works as the Parish Administrator at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Cold Spring Harbor. He lives with his wife, Lauren, father-in-law, Frank, his 18-month-old twins, Miles and Scarlett, and dog, Willow. He is an avid fan of the New York Mets, Giants, New Jersey Devils and Sunderland AFC.
