A Special Invitation - Organ Dedication | St. John's Episcopal Church

In celebration of the newly renovated organ at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Sea Cliff, there will be a dedication service and organ recital on Sunday, November 6 at 3:00. The recital will be performed by our very own Carol Weitner, and will include works by Bach, Mozart and Dubois. The church is located at 253 Glen Avenue in Sea Cliff.

News

St. John's Episcopal Church was the first religious institution to be established in Cold Spring Harbor. The first Episcopalian services were held in the little 18th century school house just above the site of the present church. The very first Vestry minutes, written in fine script on September 4, 1831, lists the founders who pledged $2,000 to build a new church.

Like our lives, our church community is a gift from God we neither earn nor deserve, and yet, it is ours. We are responsible for caring for it, for nourishing it, and for participating in the ever outpouring gift of God's grace which we share through our actions together. We are stewards of these gifts for as long as we live, and we steward the gift of this church so that future generations will have the opportunity to receive God’s grace and put it into action.

Our whole life and ministry is “Grace in Action.”
