Advent Quiet Day with Roger Joslin
Saturday, December 11, 2021
10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
The church season of Advent brings with it theses of expectation, anticipation and openness to God. These themes are drawn from the readings assigned for the 4 Sundays of the season and help the faithful prepare for the inbreaking of God in our lives at Christmas.
The Rev. Roger Joslin, Vicar of the Churches of Christ the Redeemer Mattituck and Holy Trinity, Greenport, will explore these themes with us in a special Advent Quiet Day.
Roger is the author of two books: Running the Spiritual Path: A Runner's Guide to Breathing, Meditating, and Exploring the Prayerful Dimension of the Sport and School of Love: Planting a Church Community in the Shadow of Empire. Joslin continues to run and write as dimensions of his spiritual practice. Roger is an accomplished "Peregrino" having successfully completed the Camino de Santiago. Roger was also interviewed about his camino by the radio program "On Being."
Come pray and prepare for the Chrsitmas Season with us!
