Advent Series: The Universal Christ concludes Wednesday, December 18
Wednesdays: 12/18 at 8 pm
Lee Room, St. John's Episcopal Church
Join us on Wednesday evenings in Advent for a discussion on Richard Rohr’s latest New York Times bestseller, The Universal Christ: How a Forgotten Reality Can Change Everything We See, Hope For, and Believe. Drawing on scripture, history, and spiritual practice, Rohr articulates a transformative view of Jesus Christ as a portrait of God’s constant, unfolding work in the world.
Rohr is a globally recognized ecumenical teacher whose work is grounded in Christian mysticism, practices of contemplation, and compassion for the marginalized. He is a Franciscan priest and founder of the Center for Action and Contemplation.
The Universal Christ is widely available from booksellers in many formats, including audio. Participants should read to the end of the book before the session on December 18.
