All Saints In Memorium
Sunday, November 3, we will celebrate the feast of "All Saints' Day."
All Saints' Day has a long history in the church. It celebrates the lives of holy men and women whose models of faith the modern church is invited to emulate. Churches have been remembering All Saints since the fourth century.
It has become the habit of churches on this day to remember not only great saints of history whose lives are celebrated in our church calendar but also everyday saints - our loved ones - whose lives of personal holiness are inspiring in our time and in our context. We do this by praying for and with those whom we love but see no longer in our necrology.
