Through our partnership with Kehillath Shalom Synagogue in Cold Spring Harbor and the HuMuS Coalition (Huntington Mobilizing for Sustainability) we are helping to sponsor the Huntington Greening Fellowship again. More information is available HERE.

January 26 - April 23, 2023 the Fellows will meet twice a month (mostly over zoom on alternating Thursdays and Sunday nights) to connect with local environmental organizations, learn how climate change effects Long Island, how to help our organizations go green, how we can influence policy and to meet others who also care about this work! It will all culminate with a field trip.

News

St. John's Episcopal Church was the first religious institution to be established in Cold Spring Harbor. The first Episcopalian services were held in the little 18th century school house just above the site of the present church. The very first Vestry minutes, written in fine script on September 4, 1831, lists the founders who pledged $2,000 to build a new church.

Like our lives, our church community is a gift from God we neither earn nor deserve, and yet, it is ours. We are responsible for caring for it, for nourishing it, and for participating in the ever outpouring gift of God's grace which we share through our actions together. We are stewards of these gifts for as long as we live, and we steward the gift of this church so that future generations will have the opportunity to receive God’s grace and put it into action.

Our whole life and ministry is “Grace in Action.”
