OUTREACH “BLUE BAG SUNDAY” COLLECTIONS - July 7, 2024
Thank you to all who participated in last month’s collection. The team at the pantry was most grateful.
The Huntington Food Council, the pantry St. John’s supports, recently reported a significant increase in need for food. The pantry now provides groceries for 250-300 families per week, an increase of 25% since the fall of 2023. Their supply levels of food are historically low and the needs are fairly basic - staples, staples, staples!
ITEMS MOST NEEDED:
- Canned soup
- Canned vegetables
- Canned fruit
- Rice
- Pasta
- Pasta Sauce
- Peanut Butter
Please consider adding some of these items to your upcoming grocery shopping and bringing them to St. John’s on Sunday July 7.
Blue Bags are available at St. John’s in the narthex, and additionally on Sunday at Coffee Hour, or feel free to just use your own. Donations can also be dropped in the vestibule of Bleeker Hall anytime over the weekend of June 2-3. All donations will be delivered to the pantry the following week.
Thank you.
