Following rave reviews for the first concert presented by the young musicians of the Oyster Bay Music Festival (OBMF) on Monday, you won't want to miss the second concert, From Pork to Lead, Great Composers are Dead! on Saturday, June 29 at 7:30 pm. This group of rising young stars, including sixteen-year old Maxim Lando, internationally acclaimed pianist and 2018 Young Concert Artists International First Prize winner, will once again be bringing beautiful art music to St. John’s Churchs. Performing some of the treasured classics from Beethoven to Chopin as well as Broadway favorites, our star students will inspire and uplift your soul.
This event is possible in part due to the generous sponsorship of Betsy Lawrence, the Joel Foundation, Steinway and Sons, and the New York State Council on the Arts. OBMF offers special thanks to the Very Rev. Gideon Pollach and St. John’s Church for making these concerts possible.
This project is made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered by the Huntington Arts Council.
