Celebrating All Saints
This Sunday we celebrate the feast of "All Saints' Day." All Saints' Day has a long history in the church which celebrates the lives of holy men and women whose model of faith the modern church is invited to emulate. Churches have been remembering All Saints since the fourth century. It has become the habit of churches on this day to remember not only great saints of history whose lives are celebrated in our church calendar but also everyday saints - our loved ones - whose lives of personal holiness are inspiring in our time and in our context. We do this by praying for and with those whom we love but see no longer in our necrology.
This year, the “Saints” of St. John’s will be honored in a photo collage as the St. John's Virtual Choir sings Fauré's In Paradisum Offertory at the 10 am service.
To have your loved ones included in our celebration of All Saints' Day, please complete this Form by tomorrow, Friday, October 30 at 12 noon.
