2025 Chili Cookoff! | St. John's Episcopal Church

Parishioners and staff are invited to submit their best chili recipe into competition for the title of “2025 STJCSH Chili Champ” on February 9, aka Super Bowl Sunday!

The competition will be held during coffee hour.

Samples will be offered for judging and quarts will be available to purchase for your own game-day party. The winner will be announced at Halftime of the Super Bowl on the St. John’s Facebook page.

News

St. John's Episcopal Church was the first religious institution to be established in Cold Spring Harbor. The first Episcopalian services were held in the little 18th century school house just above the site of the present church. The very first Vestry minutes, written in fine script on September 4, 1831, lists the founders who pledged $2,000 to build a new church.

St. John’s Church is a sacred gift we are entrusted to care for and grow. Rooted in faith, we are called to nurture our church community so that it continues to flourish as a source of spiritual strength, fellowship, and service for generations to come.

Our 2025 Stewardship theme, "Rooted in Faith. Growing in Generosity," reminds us that by deepening our faith, we create a foundation for growth.
