Christmas Flower Fund 2021 Deadline 12/19/21!

Contributions for flowers to decorate our church for Christmas are invited. Please consider expressing your thanks, love, celebration or remembrance with a donation to the Christmas Flower Fund. When flowers are given in thanksgiving or as a memorial, a special prayer is offered and an announcement printed in the Sunday bulletin. The deadline for Christmas flower donations is this Sunday 12/19.

News

St. John's Episcopal Church was the first religious institution to be established in Cold Spring Harbor. The first Episcopalian services were held in the little 18th century school house just above the site of the present church. The very first Vestry minutes, written in fine script on September 4, 1831, lists the founders who pledged $2,000 to build a new church.

Like our lives, our church community is a gift from God we neither earn nor deserve, and yet, it is ours. We are responsible for caring for it, for nourishing it, and for participating in the ever outpouring gift of God's grace which we share through our actions together. We are stewards of these gifts for as long as we live, and we steward the gift of this church so that future generations will have the opportunity to receive God’s grace and put it into action.

Our whole life and ministry is “Grace in Action.”
