Concerts by the Pond - Carol Weitner with Apex Brass

Featuring Dr. Carol Weitner, St. John's Church Organist, and Apex Brass
St. John's organist, Carol Weitner, will be presenting an exciting concert with the superb brass quintet, Apex Brass of The Juilliard School. Come listen to works for organ and brass quintet by Monteverdi, Bach, Bizet, Rimsky-Korsakov, Wagner and others in the historic setting of our own St. John's Church. Donation $20 adults; students and children free. Reception in Bleecker Hall will follow the concert.
Dr. Carol Weitner, has performed extensively on Long Island, as well as in Chicago, St. Paul, Boston, and New York City. She has presented recitals at Chartres Cathedral and at La Madeleine in Paris, France, as well as in Germany, the Netherlands, and the Czech Republic. Dr. Weitner holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree and a Performer’s Certificate from the Eastman School of Music, a Master of Music degree from Westminster Choir College, and a Bachelor of Music degree from The Mannes College of Music.
Apex Brass, recognized for their virtuosity, performs regularly throughout New York, championing classic brass quintet repertoire while exploring new adaptations of Medieval and Renaissance works. All members of Apex Brass are current students at The Juilliard School in New York City.
