Giving at the End of an Extraordinary Year
Dear Friends,
As this year of Covid-19 winds to a close, Seamus, Billy, and I have been reflecting on how 2020 has been a year where nothing went as expected. There is so much that happened this year which we never thought we’d ever have to do. Here are four things that we were able to do because of your support and love for this place. These are directly related to what you made possible; so, you’ve got a big part in this.
- St. John's was able to support local and international organizations responding to COVID-19 with grants of over $64,000 since the start of this year.
- We finished our confirmation classes online for last year and confirmed 6 young people into the Episcopal Church with the generous support of Bishop Provenzano.
- We have donated over 350 pounds of produce from our Garden to Community Solidarity through socially distanced gardening projects.
- We have not missed a Sunday of worship since we moved online in mid-march.
Thank you. Thank you for being a part of what God is doing through our church. The church never closed! Your giving has made all the difference!
As we come into these last few days of the year, and you are looking over your gift list, remember God’s love for you. And then prayerfully consider making a special (maybe over and above your regular giving) Christmas gift to the mission of our church. Your gift today will help us start next year off strong.
You can mail your gift directly to the church or click below and give online. Click here to give online now.
Thank you for your generosity. The best is yet to come!
- Gideon Pollach, Seamus Mitchell and Billy Wresch
P.S. Consider the Cares Act opportunities for your year-end gift!
