Fourth of July Parade!
July 4, 10:15 am
Snake Hill Road and Jennings Road
Lloyd Harbor, NY
As many of you know, there’s a little Fourth of July Parade in Cold Spring Harbor/Lloyd Harbor. It’s small and informal and around 75 years old.
The parade starts at 10:15 at the top of Snake Hill Road, where it meets Jennings Road.
After walking around 4 or 5 houses (maybe 20 minutes, given young kids) people gather to hear one of our locals gives a short talk about the Fourth of July. We’re lucky that this year’s speaker is Anne Pace, former St. John's Vestry member.
We sing patriotic songs, say the Pledge of Allegiance and then the ice cream truck comes. Very local, Very Norman Rockwell. The kids often decorate their bikes and wagons in red, white and blue.
