Giving to St. John's at Year End
As we embrace the spirit of the Season of Giving and approach the close of the year, we want to share some important updates and reflections on our ongoing stewardship journey.
December Giving and YTD Update:
Your generosity this December is especially impactful, and we encourage you to consider St. John's in your year-end giving. As of now, Year-to-Date (YTD) gifts stand at $410,862, and it's worth noting that 60% of our total giving typically occurs in the final month of the year.
2024 Stewardship Campaign Update:
Total Pledge Commitments: $314,265 from 105 pledging families. An increase of $22,328 in pledge commitments.
The Vestry has demonstrated significant generosity, with 100% participation and a total pledge of $93,100, representing 30% of the total 2024 Pledge commitments.
Vestry Leadership and Congregational Generosity:
The Vestry's significant commitment is not just a financial contribution but an inspiration to the entire congregation. Their dedication emphasizes the importance of annual giving, as the church relies on these funds for its day-to-day operations. Our endowments, which are an essential source of funding, cannot be solely relied upon to fill budgetary shortfalls; the generosity of our members is crucial for the long-term health and viability of our beloved church.

Tax Considerations:
Any checks or gifts of appreciated stock dated 12/31/2023, or before will be recorded as 2023 gifts, allowing you to contribute to this year's efforts. Checks or gifts of stock dated 1/1/2024, or later will be recorded as 2024 gifts. Additionally, please remember that gifts of any form intended for 2023 tax recognition must be received or postmarked by December 31, 2023.
