Haitian Fete Rescheduled for Wed July 6, 2022, 6-8:30pm — Haitian Movie Night!
In response to the Covid issues that waylaid our original Fete plans this year, and the busy St. John’s weekends that have followed, we have planned an alternative gathering this year to celebrate and raise much-needed school funding for the children of St. Matthias in Deslandes.
We will gather in Bleecker Hall for a Haitian-themed movie, the Road to Fondwa, and a picnic. Please send your RSVP’s to Peter Charles ([email protected]) or Heather Spehr ([email protected]) so we can plan accordingly. Donations will be accepted at the event for those who did not previously rsvp’d to the original event; and those who have previously rsvp'd but can not attend the revised date are of course welcome to a refund -- just let us know and we will work it out. Feel free to contact Peter or Heather with any questions!
Silent Auction items to offered at the event and at Coffee Hour for 2 weeks following:
- Wine and Cheese Party at the Bahr Gallery in Oyster Bay
- Vouchers for Dining at Popular Local Restaurants
- Haitian Dinner for 6 cooked by Co-Chair Peter Charles
- Bourbon Tasting, hosted by Gideon Pollach and Jesse Lebus
- Sunset Cruise aboard "Zest" with Cocktails and Hors d'Oeuvres.
