Handmades Goes Green in 2018
In keeping with St. John’s Blue-Green theology, the Handmades’ table at the 2018 Christmas Fair will showcase items that encourage re-use. Included will be knitted string market bags, fabric gift bags in all sizes, and all-natural wool dryer balls to replace one-use dryer sheets.
You can help with your donations of 100% wool yarn (for dryer balls) or any other bright colored yarn (think pompom ornaments), and colorful fabric pieces, solid or patterned (for gift bags). Please bring these any Sunday to Lemonade on the Lawn.
And – if you knit, crochet, sew, do small pieces of woodwork, bead, weave or whatever, please consider donating an example of your work for the Christmas Fair.
The Handmades group will meet on Monday, August 20 at 12 noon, in St. John’s Conference Room. Please join us then or contact Betty Gilbert, Anita MacDougall or Janet Stevenson with your questions.
