Junior Choir Presents Little Shelter with Offering
Sunday was an exciting day for our Junior Choir. Not only did they sing, but they also put a book end to their Lenten musical, Called. As you may remember, during that musical the kids were called to do something special for a cause that they cared about. In this case, a special "Change for the Sake of Change" spare change offering was built into the musical performance.
The choir members had chosen local no-kill animals shelter, Little Shelter to receive this special offering. On Sunday the St. John's Junior Choir welcomed Little Shelter volunteer, Jill Entwistle as a special guest to our 10 am worship service. The choir presented Ms. Entwistle a check for $411 - the amount of spare change that was collected during musical (and from boxes collected through Easter Sunday).
Congratulations to the Junior Choir for helping lead the congregation in your special outreach project!
