Annual Lenten Musical Rehearsals Begin January 5
Join the Junior Choir for Their Annual Lenten Musical, Storms
Rehearsals for this year’s Junior Choir Lenten musical, Storms, will begin on Sunday, January 5, during coffee hour from 11:15 am to 12:00 pm. Open to children in grades 2–6, this exciting production welcomes everyone, no matter their singing or dancing experience. With plenty of parts for all who want to participate, this is a wonderful opportunity for kids to join in a creative and meaningful project.
Storms tells the story of a group of children grappling with life’s challenges as they learn about Jesus calming the storm. Through heartfelt songs, humor, and engaging dialogue, the children discover that no matter the circumstances, Jesus is always with them. Empowered by this message, they realize their own ability to support others in their struggles.
The musical includes piano and percussion accompaniment, a fun bucket drumming experience, and even a community service project, making it a dynamic and impactful event for all involved. Reproducible audio demo tracks and percussion parts are also available to aid in preparation.
The performance will take place during the 10:00 am worship service on Sunday, March 30. Stay tuned for opportunities for the entire congregation to support and engage with this meaningful project for our youth.
