Lenten Musical - Called to make Change with Change

What does it mean to be called by God? This year's Junior Choir Lenten musical, Called, affirms that God has placed something beautiful in everyone and is calling us to share it with the world. Much like last year's musical, In the Image, this musical is full of fun musical numbers, humorous storytelling, and a important message of feeling empowered to live lives worthy of the calling we have received.
As a special feature of Called, is a Change for Change outreach project. The children brainstormed several ideas of areas of importance to them that the felt called to help. As part of the process, and through a couple rounds of voting, the Junior Choir has collectively used their voice to determine where the funds of a special "spare change" fundraiser would go.
They have chosen to raise money for animal welfare - and specifically the local Huntington Little Shelter. Keep on the lookout for decorated boxes to collect your spare change during the next few weeks and the kids will take a special collection during the Called musical performance during the 10 am worship service on March 10th.
