Youth Group Feeds HIHI Again | St. John's Episcopal Church

Attention Youth!

Following Jesus’s call to feed the hungry, our Youth Group will gather at our Parish to prepare meals for 40-50 homeless people, which will be distributed through the local ministry of HIHI (Huntington Interfaith Homeless Initiative). Our labor helps these souls stave off suffering and misery; nutritious meals translate into hope for survival. Come, be a part of this work of Christian love. After the meals are prepared, packaged, and loaded, we will have time to study Scripture and play games. Faith, Service, Food, and Fun!

News

St. John's Episcopal Church was the first religious institution to be established in Cold Spring Harbor. The first Episcopalian services were held in the little 18th century school house just above the site of the present church. The very first Vestry minutes, written in fine script on September 4, 1831, lists the founders who pledged $2,000 to build a new church.

St. John’s Church is a sacred gift we are entrusted to care for and grow. Rooted in faith, we are called to nurture our church community so that it continues to flourish as a source of spiritual strength, fellowship, and service for generations to come.

Our 2025 Stewardship theme, "Rooted in Faith. Growing in Generosity," reminds us that by deepening our faith, we create a foundation for growth. Through our collective generosity—offering our time, talents, and treasures—we enable our ministries to thrive, our outreach to expand, and our shared mission to grow stronger.
