Child Care Available this Summer! | St. John's Episcopal Church

Sundays during 10 am service
July 1 - August 26
Room 2, Nursery School
Each Sunday this summer, an experienced adult staff member will provide child care for children ages 0-5 in Nursery Classroom (Room 2, second room on the right). We hope this makes it easier for families to attend church this summer. There will be crayons and the Sunday Paper, Junior Edition in church for older children.

News

St. John's Episcopal Church was the first religious institution to be established in Cold Spring Harbor. The first Episcopalian services were held in the little 18th century school house just above the site of the present church. The very first Vestry minutes, written in fine script on September 4, 1831, lists the founders who pledged $2,000 to build a new church.

Like our lives, our church community is a gift from God we neither earn nor deserve, and yet, it is ours. We are responsible for caring for it, for nourishing it, and for participating in the ever outpouring gift of God's grace which we share through our actions together. We are stewards of these gifts for as long as we live, and we steward the gift of this church so that future generations will have the opportunity to receive God’s grace and put it into action.

Our whole life and ministry is “Grace in Action.”
