St. John's Church in Cold Spring Harbor is a parish intimately tied to the history of our region and our nation. Like many churches in our area, our founding in 1835 was a moment of great grace in a period of great challenge.
Join our parish history team as it shares its interim findings of parish history project focused on our congregation's connection to the long history of race, racism, slavery, and faith in our region. The presentation will be live on Zoom with opportunities to ask questions following the presentation.
Presenters include:
- The Rev. Dr. Craig Townsend of the Episcopal Diocese of Long Island
- The Very Rev. Gideon L. K. Pollach, Rector of St. John's Church, Cold Spring Harbor
- Dr. Libby O'Connell, trustee of Jefferson's Monticello and chief Historian Emeritus at History Channel
