Project Toy 2024 : Thank You!

What an incredible outpouring of support from our parish community!

Through our partnership with TriCYA and Family Service League, we were able to create a special holiday shopping experience for parents in our community. The outpouring of support - from those who donated new toys to our dedicated volunteers who spent hours sorting and wrapping gifts - truly embodied the spirit of giving.

Your generosity filled the Bleecker Hall bins with new toys, and our wonderful volunteers devoted time to sort and wrap gifts. Together, we helped create joyful holiday memories for local families.

Thank you for demonstrating what makes St. John's outreach so impactful.

News

St. John's Episcopal Church was the first religious institution to be established in Cold Spring Harbor. The first Episcopalian services were held in the little 18th century school house just above the site of the present church. The very first Vestry minutes, written in fine script on September 4, 1831, lists the founders who pledged $2,000 to build a new church.

Like our lives, our church community is a gift from God we neither earn nor deserve, and yet, it is ours. We are responsible for caring for it, for nourishing it, and for participating in the ever outpouring gift of God's grace which we share through our actions together. We are stewards of these gifts for as long as we live, and we steward the gift of this church so that future generations will have the opportunity to receive God’s grace and put it into action.

Our whole life and ministry is “Grace in Action.”
