This Sunday, December 16 is the deadline for dropping off donations of new unwrapped toys and gift cards for children ages birth through 13, financial donation and/or new wrapping paper. Click for a list of 2018 Gift Ideas. Please note that gift cards in $10 or $20 denominations are always welcomed. You may drop-off toys and wrapping paper in the collection box in the Parish Hall lobby. Financial donations or gift cards, in an envelope marked "Project T.O.Y.", may be dropped off in Sue Waiter's mailbox in the copy room.

News

St. John's Episcopal Church was the first religious institution to be established in Cold Spring Harbor. The first Episcopalian services were held in the little 18th century school house just above the site of the present church. The very first Vestry minutes, written in fine script on September 4, 1831, lists the founders who pledged $2,000 to build a new church.

Like our lives, our church community is a gift from God we neither earn nor deserve, and yet, it is ours. We are responsible for caring for it, for nourishing it, and for participating in the ever outpouring gift of God's grace which we share through our actions together. We are stewards of these gifts for as long as we live, and we steward the gift of this church so that future generations will have the opportunity to receive God’s grace and put it into action.

Our whole life and ministry is “Grace in Action.”
