Responding to the Crisis in Israel: AFEDJ
Many of us are watching the unfolding horror of the crisis in Israel with increasing alarm. We are hearing from friends in the region that what we are seeing is only a glimpse of the hardships within the region. Many of us are moved to respond.
Last week, we included in this space an invitation to support Episcopal Relief and Development, an arm of the Episcopal Church.
This week we are expanding that invitation to highlight the American Friends of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem, which we understand is uniquely equipped to deliver aid quickly inside Gaza at this moment.
All the aid agencies are doing all that they can to make sure that funds are directed to those most in need and not redirected to Hamas. The American Friends have longstanding and deep relationships in the region, which ensures aid is delivered through trusted partnerships.
