Fall Clothing Drive was a Big Success! Thank you!

Our Fall Clothing Drive last Sunday was a great success! A big thank you to everybody for your support - making donations, volunteering with collection and sorting. And a special thank you to Deborah Solbert and Melissa Worth for all your hard work.

Our outreach partner, St. George’s Church Hempstead's clothing ministry sent two of their parishioners with the church van on Monday morning. They were so pleased to pick up everything we collected and so grateful for the very generous donations from our parishioners. ~ Sabine

News

St. John's Episcopal Church was the first religious institution to be established in Cold Spring Harbor. The first Episcopalian services were held in the little 18th century school house just above the site of the present church. The very first Vestry minutes, written in fine script on September 4, 1831, lists the founders who pledged $2,000 to build a new church.

Like our lives, our church community is a gift from God we neither earn nor deserve, and yet, it is ours. We are responsible for caring for it, for nourishing it, and for participating in the ever outpouring gift of God's grace which we share through our actions together. We are stewards of these gifts for as long as we live, and we steward the gift of this church so that future generations will have the opportunity to receive God’s grace and put it into action.

Our whole life and ministry is “Grace in Action.”
