St. Francis Weekend and BlueGreen Kayak
This past weekend was a moving weekend of events related to our care for creation. On Sunday we hosted a special blessing of the animals at 5 PM in our outdoor chapel. We welcomed faithful friends and skittish kitties for blessing as well as one very shocked chicken - Taquito. All were welcomed, blessed and presented with special St. Francis collar medallions.
On Monday an intrepid group braved the weather and waves of our beloved Cold Spring Harbor for a tour of the inner harbor to learn more about our impact on the Sound and waterways. While we were unable to get under 25A into the church's wilderness due to unusually high tides, we did have a great time paddling and exploring. We ran into two fun vikings who joined us for our trip!
