St. John's Welcomes Oyster Bay Music Festival 2020

St. John's has long been a sponsor of the Oyster Bay Music Festival and has helped to fund and host the festival for the last many years. This year's Oyster Bay Music Festival will still occur, but exclusively online. St. John's will host our concert on our website HERE.

There will also be a means to support the concert on the page and links to other concerts will also be available.

We look forward to welcoming the Oyster Bay Music Festival back to St. John's Virtual space.

News

St. John's Episcopal Church was the first religious institution to be established in Cold Spring Harbor. The first Episcopalian services were held in the little 18th century school house just above the site of the present church. The very first Vestry minutes, written in fine script on September 4, 1831, lists the founders who pledged $2,000 to build a new church.

Like our lives, our church community is a gift from God we neither earn nor deserve, and yet, it is ours. We are responsible for caring for it, for nourishing it, and for participating in the ever outpouring gift of God's grace which we share through our actions together. We are stewards of these gifts for as long as we live, and we steward the gift of this church so that future generations will have the opportunity to receive God’s grace and put it into action.

Our whole life and ministry is “Grace in Action.”
