It's time to sign up for Stone Soup!

Everyone in Grades K - 8 is invited to participate in this virtual musical extravaganza! Come join along in this favorite St. John's tradition. This year Stone Soup will be on April 11 as part of Youth Sunday. Please sign up here to let us know you are going to participate - Zoom link will be sent to those who register.

We will have rehearsals on the following dates:

Grades K-3 Rehearsals: Sundays, March 7, March 14, March 21 and March 28 at 9am
All Ages Rehearsals: Saturdays, March 13, March 20 and March 27 at 10am.

Jun and Josephine are hard at work making recordings for us to sing along to. In the weeks to come we will send out videos and instructions for recording at home. All recordings will be submitted by Easter Sunday, April 4.

News

St. John's Episcopal Church was the first religious institution to be established in Cold Spring Harbor. The first Episcopalian services were held in the little 18th century school house just above the site of the present church. The very first Vestry minutes, written in fine script on September 4, 1831, lists the founders who pledged $2,000 to build a new church.

Like our lives, our church community is a gift from God we neither earn nor deserve, and yet, it is ours. We are responsible for caring for it, for nourishing it, and for participating in the ever outpouring gift of God's grace which we share through our actions together. We are stewards of these gifts for as long as we live, and we steward the gift of this church so that future generations will have the opportunity to receive God’s grace and put it into action.

Our whole life and ministry is “Grace in Action.”
