The Breakfast Club | St. John's Episcopal Church

3rd through 6th Grades
9 am, Lee Room

We are all about delicious breakfasts here! We meet each week between the services from 9:00 – 9:45 am. This week it’s about meeting the newest priest in Cold Spring Harbor, and some of our fabulous team of cooks, oh, I mean, parent helpers. We will introduce the spiritual topics of the Fall season as well.

We will supply the napkins; you bring the appetites.

News

St. John's Episcopal Church was the first religious institution to be established in Cold Spring Harbor. The first Episcopalian services were held in the little 18th century school house just above the site of the present church. The very first Vestry minutes, written in fine script on September 4, 1831, lists the founders who pledged $2,000 to build a new church.

Like our lives, our church community is a gift from God we neither earn nor deserve, and yet, it is ours. We are responsible for caring for it, for nourishing it, and for participating in the ever outpouring gift of God's grace which we share through our actions together. We are stewards of these gifts for as long as we live, and we steward the gift of this church so that future generations will have the opportunity to receive God’s grace and put it into action.

Our whole life and ministry is “Grace in Action.”
