The Natural Wonders of North America: Photographic Presentation by Michael Fairchild
Thursday, May 16, 2019, 7:30 - 9 pm
Harborfields Public Library
Greenlawn, NY
Parishioner and professional photographer, Michael Fairchild, will present his latest audiovisual work, "The Natural Wonders of North America", at Harborfields Public Library, 31 Broadway, Greenlawn. Featuring work gathered from a lifetime of watching and waiting for the perfect photographic moment, this program highlights many of our country’s most beloved locations: Yellowstone Park, Capitol Reef, the Olympic peninsula, Okefenokee Swamp, Kauai Island, and Yosemite are among Michael’s favorite places. Grizzly bears, sea lions, pronghorn antelopes, hummingbirds, and shimmer-winged insects appear in sharp close-ups. These natural preserves are America’s precious legacy for future generations. Fairchild’s message is clear: our natural world desperately needs enlightened preservation to help our planet survive our current environmental challenges.
There is no fee to attend, but register is requested: call 631-757-4200.
