Two Musical Opportunities; One Weekend!
On July 29th and 30th, St. John’s is pleased to host two terrific, local music groups for what will be a full weekend of great musical offerings in the middle of the summer.
On Saturday, July 29 at 3 pm, the Belle Voci Intergenerational Choral Society, under the direction of Dr. Jennifer Miceli, will offer the music for a special Choral Evensong. This service is designed to match the Evensong service that the group will sing at the St. Asaph Cathedral in Wales during their upcoming UK tour. Please join us for what should be a beautiful, worshipful, and prayerful afternoon of music.
On Sunday, July 30 at 3 pm, we welcome a recital by the Long Island Chamber Music String Quartet. The program includes works by Schubert, Ravel, Chaminade, Washington, and Saglietti. We are thrilled to host the fine musicians of LI Chamber Music for this special event. Tickets are pay-as-you-can, $20 suggested.
