Virtual Congregational Hymn (Today at 11pm is the deadline)

All of St. John's community is invited to join in singing the hymn, "Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!" for Trinity Sunday, May 30th, 2021. With the easing of restrictions, this may well be the last "Virtual Congregational Hymn". Throughout the pandemic, St. John's community have continued to offer jubilant song to the Lord. Let us close this chapter in the most triumphant manner by ringing the virtual sanctuary with praise to the Almighty! Here's how

News

St. John's Episcopal Church was the first religious institution to be established in Cold Spring Harbor. The first Episcopalian services were held in the little 18th century school house just above the site of the present church. The very first Vestry minutes, written in fine script on September 4, 1831, lists the founders who pledged $2,000 to build a new church.

Like our lives, our church community is a gift from God we neither earn nor deserve, and yet, it is ours. We are responsible for caring for it, for nourishing it, and for participating in the ever outpouring gift of God's grace which we share through our actions together. We are stewards of these gifts for as long as we live, and we steward the gift of this church so that future generations will have the opportunity to receive God’s grace and put it into action.
