Welcoming Claire Freas
Please join us in welcoming Claire Freas our new Nursery Care Worker.
Claire will be providing nursery care during the 10am service. This care will be provided upstairs in a classroom of the Nursery School. We are excited to be relaunching this ministry. There is a lot to learn, so we ask for your patience as she continues to orient to her new position. We could also use your help, if you are interested in supporting Claire and the parents of St. John's by volunteering to be a second adult in the Nursery. Reach out to Mary Beth if that's a ministry you are willing to be a part of.
Claire grew up in the Episcopal Church, as both her mother and grandmother worked with Little Portion Friary in Mount Sinai throughout her childhood. A graduate of Northport High School, she started at St. John’s of Huntington Nursery School in June of 2022 as a camp counselor, and currently works there part-time as an assistant teacher. She has also worked at the Engeman Theater in Northport as a 'child wrangler:" When she’s not working with kids, Claire is usually reading, writing, and spending time with her beloved cat, Ruby.
