Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back!

As we head back to school and start the program year, we are happy to announce that our youth group will meet every other Sunday from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm.

We will begin on September 15th at St. John's, Huntington.

Our group is made up of 7th to 12th graders from St. John’s Cold Spring Harbor; St. John’s, Huntington; and Trinity Church, Northport. Building on our group's successes over the last two years, we look to continue our tradition of having a meal together, breaking open God’s word, playing games, doing crafts, and ending our meetings with Night Prayer.

News

St. John's Episcopal Church was the first religious institution to be established in Cold Spring Harbor. The first Episcopalian services were held in the little 18th century school house just above the site of the present church. The very first Vestry minutes, written in fine script on September 4, 1831, lists the founders who pledged $2,000 to build a new church.

Like our lives, our church community is a gift from God we neither earn nor deserve, and yet, it is ours. We are responsible for caring for it, for nourishing it, and for participating in the ever outpouring gift of God's grace which we share through our actions together. We are stewards of these gifts for as long as we live, and we steward the gift of this church so that future generations will have the opportunity to receive God’s grace and put it into action.

Our whole life and ministry is “Grace in Action.”
