Calling all teens: Come support HIHI!

Food, Fun, Faith and Service all converge in Youth Group this coming Sunday. This meeting will not only include dinner and a bit of play, but we will also help prepare meals for the ministry of HIHI (Huntington Interfaith Homeless Initiative). These meals will feed 40 individuals who are struggling against hunger and homelessness. This is a great opportunity to spread the love of Christ to our community! As a bonus, you also gain credit for service hours.

News

St. John's Episcopal Church was the first religious institution to be established in Cold Spring Harbor. The first Episcopalian services were held in the little 18th century school house just above the site of the present church. The very first Vestry minutes, written in fine script on September 4, 1831, lists the founders who pledged $2,000 to build a new church.

Like our lives, our church community is a gift from God we neither earn nor deserve, and yet, it is ours. We are responsible for caring for it, for nourishing it, and for participating in the ever outpouring gift of God's grace which we share through our actions together. We are stewards of these gifts for as long as we live, and we steward the gift of this church so that future generations will have the opportunity to receive God’s grace and put it into action.

Our whole life and ministry is “Grace in Action.”
